Better call the Chiwawa’s

Have you ever thought about dogs and breeds before? I bet not, at least at the moment, and even as a dog owner you choose a breed that fits to you. Now having time to let my mind wander around and think about different things instead of sitting in my office, so I started to think about dogs.

There are the dogs that like to hang-out and do their own thing and when possible make themselves comfortable on the sofa and take a nap and enjoy a bit of quality time on the sofa instead of napping in their baskets…. Really the choice between napping in a basket or napping on the sofa…. The choice is clear the “SOFA” is the winner!

Or the innocent look dogs give you after they have done something they shouldn’t have done. If the dog could speak it would definitely blame someone else, because there is no way with that look on their face that they could have chewed-up and destroyed the new cushions on the sofa or when they can’t get their own way, and then as experience shows; the dog pees on a potted plant in the living room.. and I would love to just scream at the dog, but somehow even when I did it didn’t seem to phase him.

When I think back to our Jack Russel that we once had… he ruled the house and had everything and everybody under control. Nothing went unnoticed nor did he fear anything!

He knew how to wrap people around his “paws”, when it came to someone new coming around for a BBQ (his favorite event in the summer months.). There he would sit and stare at the person and pretend that he hadn’t eaten in weeks, and of course he got his way and got a piece of steak or such, and would walk off as if to say “ hey, I know how to get what I want”!!
I am sure some of you can relate to this as a dog owner.

My dog knew everyone in our neighborhood and who was BBQing, so he would invite himself to the neighbors ,so that he could enjoy an afternoon or evening of good food and attention, then come back home later on with a smile on his face as if to say “ I had a great time and you weren’t invited”.

Though there was a dog in our neighborhood that was a Chiwawa that was always jumping up and down and barking all the time!! I always wondered about that dog because it not only always was barking but was always running around in circles chasing nothing…. I guess maybe that’s the breed???

The dog tried to attack anything that moved, but never managed because the other dogs in the neighborhood didn’t want to be friends with the Chiwawa… They would just stand there and look down at the Chiwawa as if to say “What’s your problem and find some other dog to hang-out with”.

When thinking back and reflecting about my Jack Russel, he was probably right about all the barking that the Chiwawa did and there was no content in it; simply just a bunch of hot air… Like people can be in our society today.

Now is time to reflect on those times with your dog; whether it by funny or not.
Have a great day wherever you are!

Challenges of Chocolate

There you have it in a nutshell… The challenges of chocolate, and the temptations of every time you go to the grocery store.

I recently experienced this problem which really was somewhat of an experience.

There I was in my local grocery store and my trolly was half full with toilet paper (for what reason I can’t tell you- I guess it was a go with the flow moment???) After I pulled myself back into reality, that I needed something to eat, because I can’t eat toilet paper. I steered my trolly through the aisles putting things into my trolly that I could eat and there and then around the next corner was the aisle with chocolate…..
My heart was racing, and my brain said to me “you must go down this aisle”. I did and there before my eyes I was standing alone looking at both sides of the aisle filled with chocolate.

You can not image what a “rush” that was for me after being stranded in my house for a couple of weeks…
I wanted to run my arm behind all the chocolate and let it fall into my trolly! The feeling was overwhelming. Never before had I felt the joy of strolling down an aisle with chocolate before.

Maybe some of you out there know this feeling too???

I pulled myself back into reality and just stood there and thought “which sort of chocolate should I buy?” Because every piece of chocolate was now tempting; not like in the past were I would walk down the aisle where the chocolate was and just ignore it. Now the chocolate aisle is/ was a feeling / experience in my new world were I don’t get to go out every day.

After standing there for what seemed to me like an eternity , which probably was may be 5 minutes of joy for me; I decide to buy 5 chocolate bars, and when I got home I ate one of them right away , and it gave me the feeling that was indescribable because no money in the world could replace that feeling I had while I was savoring every bite of my chocolate bar.

Plus, the joy that I had just holding onto the candy bar – I had never in the past thought about it and always took these simple life’s pleasures for granted, but now since having to stay home and only go out when allowed too, I have taken a different view on these little life’s pleasures.

Next time you are grocery shopping, treat yourself to one of life’s little pleasures, and when you get home you can sit back and enjoy it!

Enjoy

Toilet Paper Today!

Hi, everyone out there in the world who is at home or in their home office wondering is there anything out there that can bring a little smile to my face???
Well, maybe this little repost can, and have a great day wherever you are in the world and the most important thing is to stay healthy!!

Turmoil with Toilet Paper
Posted on March 26, 2012 by sueromeiser (copyright)

This tidbit of information is something that you must know about.(I am busy tomorrow bossing people around, so I thought I would post it now)

I could hardly believe my eyes when I read that there are public buildings with toilet paper shortages. This means that supplies are running out and that one should always have a spare roll of toilet paper with them whenever they leave the house.
For us gals that’s no problem because we have our trusty handbag with us so a roll can be stuffed in it.
But for guys I see a problem because you can’t walk around with a roll of toilet paper in your hand; though maybe it could be a new fashion accessory for 2012?

Toilet paper holder for guys; a must for 2012 and you could also get a special toilet roll holder for your car and it’s standard in all new models. And the most important “must have” toilet paper App, so you know where to buy the brand you want.

Plus, just image color coordinated roll of toilet paper that either matches your shirt or suit that you are wearing and at the same time you are prepared for anything because you have your trusty roll of toilet paper with you. I am going to suggest this to my husband and he can give a presentation about this to his male business colleagues and they then can decide on how to best approach this problem. And once I know the answer I will let you know. Ok?

Just writing this here gives me a feeling that I must go and check to see that I have enough rolls of toilet paper here because leaving the house without my trusty roll could be dangerous if I have to go unexpectedly and I don’t have my roll with me and there is no one else around with a roll either. Maybe I will go out and buy a family pack later on today and then I am ready for all toilet paper problems.

Think about it- no one ever really thinks about the wonders of a roll of toilet paper. That stuff has been around for years in all colors and quality. I love toilet paper and am not ashamed to admit it. And I bet there’s some of you out there too who love toilet paper but just don’t want to admit it.

There’s the sort of recycled toilet paper that would take the skin off your backside if you used it -> it’s environmentally friendly cause it’s a gray color and after you use it you may need a tube of hemorrhoid ointment to protect you from the environmentally friendly toilet paper. So how am I protecting the environment?

Then there’s the bright colored sort -> My gran (great woman) always had purple because it matched her bathroom and turned the water in the toilet bowl the same color. I used to love to go into the bathroom as a kid and just tear off the sheets and throw them into the water and watch it change color in a matter of seconds. Doing that was better than any computer game and provided hours of fun too.

Now I don’t want to think about what it did to my backside let alone the chemicals that were in it. But hey, I’m still alive and enjoying life. Maybe it is because I used that purple toilet paper. Do they still make it in that color???

Then there’s the normal boring white with its different ply’s now this is toilet paper!

Whether or not it can hold up to the purple stuff I’m not too sure. And the white stuff does not make the water a neat color. So that makes it sort of boring. But it’s probably better for your backside.

So just remember next time you want to go out don’t forget your trusty roll of toilet paper that can provide you with the feeling of security that you need when you “must go”.

Party line ©sueromeiser

In our modern world times have changed and we communicate a bit differently then in the past. Now a days we have group chats, video calls and telco’s and other ways to join us together as a group. Now in our time where we are a bit disconnected from family and friends, we use these modern ways of communication.

But when I look back at my childhood those times were not like that….. We had the good’ol “party line” where we were connected together by a single telephone number..OMG!!!!

One telephone number and 4 other people using the line together. Not a bad thing if you are all friends, but if you aren’t, well, well, well is all I can say. Then there was always the person who liked to eaves drop on the other while they were having their afternoon party line coffee time. That was a highlight for my mom!

There she was with her mug of coffee and all the other women who were her friends picked up the receiver at the same time and began to gossip about whatever. As a kid I never understood it, but now looking at the modern ways of communication nothing has changed; just the way it is done, and there was no camera back then either. Though one fun highlight for me was answering the phone and not listening to the number of rings and the call was for someone else and they made it really clear to me that I should not have answered the phone….. Party poopers!!!

Though I can add that the party line fun ended after a couple of years when the telephone company decided to change its system and everyone got their own telephone number and every telephone call costed a lot of money, so as I look back at it, it must have put a damper on my moms afternoon coffee with the gals

Enjoy a coffee with friends online in these times where we are social distancing from friends and family.

The morning show… Good morning on Sunday ©sueromeiser

Well as you know we all (well most of us) watch the morning show to give us an insight into our day and to inform ourselves about the events around the world.

As a gal who loves to watch TV and keep herself informed in these trying times, I have started to watch the morning show. There I sit in my living room with my trusty zapper in my hand and I zap through the channels in the hope to find a program that would interest me. I mean really there are the business programs reporting to us the latest stock market activity… Which again this jargon can be really confusing and sending my brain spinning…. OMG!!! What are those people talking about???? I need help just understanding the whole thing. Plus, the events like crimes and such about how the bad people in the world do bad things to other people…. That is really sad, if you ask me… What is the world coming to????

Then comes the tidbits about what is going on in the world of entertainment …. NOW …. That’s for me… seeing all those stars and getting a glimpse into their everyday lives. I mean really what those people are up too and what kind of houses they live in… it is just an OMG moment!!!!

After a few commercials which offer me the opportunity to spend my money on things that I don’t need… I love commercials… There was one for some gardening stuff… Garden here I come, and it is true that gardening season is starting… Folks get out there and get that garden in order, now you have time…. At least I do!!

Thank goodness the commercials are over and I can finally get down to watching some serious television where the presenters talk about all kinds of stuff were they try to make the viewer feel like they are sitting with them on the hosts sofa presenting their show…. I wonder how much money those presenters make???? Maybe I should apply for a job as a morning TV host…… There are bright colored letters is my name and the world can sit in front of their tv’s and watch me present them the morning show…. WOW!!!!!! Stardom here I come….

I am getting bored watching tv because I normally don’t watch soooooo much tv, so maybe I should do something else???? Like go for a walk and get some fresh air or like I read the other day, which I found really interesting, learn something new while you have the time now instead of vegetating at home doing nothing…. Those are really great tips and can be fun too! Thanks to those TV folks for inspiring me!!!

So, to all those morning TV show fans…. Enjoy your morning show and as they say…. Stay tuned for the next episode… Have a great day!

Stores and more……

I read that there are many people out there who have to work in the public eye and have read that they are not always treated nicely… to word it nicely!!

Why do people have to behave so aggressively or why do people have to be rude to each other??? There is no need to be like this and why??

Has society changed us soooo much that we have changed into an aggressive group of people in uncertain times??

There is one thing for sure one should appreciate those who serve the public and treat them with respect!!

Take care and think about respect for those who work hard for us in these trying times.

Weather, people and moods

Have you ever noticed how the weather seems to influence people’s mood? Well I have and that’s not a scientific fact. At l east were I am people seem in a better mood when the weather gets warmer ( thank goodness, if you ask me… I know you didn’t, but that’s how it is.)

It seems to give them a whole other outlook on life and not complain so much except for when they travel on the underground and then the action starts. Truly an event in it self.

There you sit feeling like you are in a sauna and the beads of sweat rolling off everyone’s face. Not a pretty sight to behold.

Then someone gets the idea to open a window ( truly a crime indeed). Then the action starts.. the first one starts with “it’s drafty “ and shuts the window, next its open again someone says it’s too cold, even though they look like they could pass-out from a heat stroke… it is simply too cold!!!

Another person gets on the train and opens the same window…if looks could kill.. that is their death because now someone shouts at them for opening the window and wanting to let some fresh air in. It seems like fresh air is dangerous nowadays. ( I bet you didn’t know that? If not just travel on the public transport in my city, and then you will know.)

The whole time I just sit there and enjoy the show and wonder what will happen next???? Sometimes I would love to ask the people “ what do you have against fresh air?” Maybe it’s better not to know the answer. I haven’t decided yet.

Though the other day I said something “ this is better than TV” to the person sitting next to me. They did not appreciate my humor, and asked me if I was okay… I thought to myself “ you idiot” , but instead just smiled at them which annoyed them more then the person opening the window. I knew that was borderline, so kept to myself the rest of the trip.

Another person sitting across from me started to complain about it being too warm in the wagon, but wouldn’t open the window because they were worried that there could be a retaliation from some passengers, so decide against the idea. Because those around him said “opening the window would cause cooler air to come into the wagon and could cause injuries”…. Don’t ask me the logic behind that, but it was definitely an original sentence.

Somehow, this opening and closing the window and of course complaining has become a national pastime on the local transport in my area. Which means when out and about make sure you have your own air conditioning system with you so as not to upset those near you and cause an argument.

Enjoy going on public transport!

Advice Headlines

I got to looking at advice headlines online for a bit of a change in my reading style…. Not that I am looking for advice but I wanted to read about what concerns other people.

There was the guy in love with someone he works with….. To me that seems like trouble and if everyone in the office knows about it… I think this problem answers itself… It could be that he is like a little boy in love…Staring out the window dreaming of the tender moments that he could share with that person or he is texting that person with poems and dreams of their love that will never be…. My advice to the guy: get focused and sort yourself out! Get a foot back on the ground and forget it; I would not want to lose my job because of some silliness.

Taking a short nap at work… Now that is a great idea! Arrange to have a nap every afternoon from say 1:00pm to 4:00pm and then once rested up you can go home at 5:00pm. Life couldn’t be better….. Please where can I apply for that job and does it pay well?

Now this is an all time great: My garden …. And how that fits with the other two I am not sure and can only presume that it is something like this: Guy is at work having a nap and dreaming about the person he is in love with at work. There you have it. A lovely flower garden idyllic, birds singing and lovely trees the feeling of tranquility is in the air they are there in each other’s arms; when suddenly the boss comes in and screams “ What the h…. are you doing, sleeping on my time?” . Bad idea napping at work!

Another daunting thought: someone thinks everyone is against them… Okay, that’s bad, but it can’t be true. I know everyone doesn’t like me and to be honest it doesn’t bother me either. I would say…Stop worrying and get on with things, before you miss out on all the great things that are happening in life!

A real one: Problems in the bedroom….. OMG!!! I don’t think a news paper can help that couple or the guy dreaming at work (I am not too sure who they were writing about). They need to seek professional help or talk to each other like folks did one time… that could help too. Let’s see what happens and find out who it is????

The normal one some famous person…. Bla,bla, bla boring… I want action like the topics above!!!

But once I read all those tidbits of advice I didn’t and don’t feel any the wiser and I wonder do the people who wrote in feel any better about the response that they received and did the guy in love at work solve his problem and did he get in trouble for taking a nap????
These are unanswered questions and I feel like I am left hanging here… I want to know how the guy’s life is going and was it him with the bedroom problems…. Please people answer my questions, so that I know advice can be real and have real results!

Take my advice and read all the wonderful bits of advice, but be careful, they may not give you the answer you were looking for!

Beany Bye-Bye

Not long ago when two people wanted to part and go their own way;you actually spoke to each other and said that “the relationship” is over…… a situation that requires tackt and nerves to say that….

Then along came the good’old text messaging and so only with a few words and not having to look the other person in the eyes…. Write the text and press “send” and the relationship is/has ended and then a quick login on a social network and the person changes their status to “single” again and now the world knows , with just a quick click you are alone again….

How easy it is to say “good-bye” and I don’t want to be with you anymore….. How impersonal electronic devices and the Internet make the world!

But now there is this so called “bean plant” that can do the job for you as I recently read. Just put the seed in the soil and follow the instructions and then in about 5 days you have a plant and on a leaf is written” It’s over” …. I see this as even worse than a text message, because a text message you get right away and with the seed thing you have to wait. This may make the person think that they are loved and not being dumped, or maybe it’s Good, because in the germination period you may decide to get back together again and dispose of the plant before you can see its leafs….. The wonders of nature!

I wonder if the folks who thought this bean thing up was having relationship problems and didn’t know how to say “good-bye”…… The never ending ways of breaking-up

If anyone out there has tried this method of breaking-up….. We all would be very grateful if you would let us all know how the person who received the ” break-up bean” reacted?

Life can be painful at times but greenery still has its moments!

Outboard Motor Memoires

This is sort of a guy topic, but I am sure some of you gals know about this too.

The other day was the anniversary of Mr. Evinrude the man who invented the outboard motor years ago.

I thank Mr. Evinrude because without his invention I wouldn’t have been able to spend so many wonderful hours on a lake when I was a kid. That outboard motor attached to the back of the small boat that helped us get from our dock to someplace else on the lake was wonderful…..

I remember when the time came when my dad built a bigger boat and then bought a larger outboard motor, but still the joy of being out on the lake fishing or just being out there with my dad was great! And all that thanks to an outboard motor.

Sure we rowed around too in a smaller boat because we weren’t old enough to drive a big boat, but who cared…. Not me!!! The main thing was being outside enjoying the sunshine and water. Years pasted and we needed a new outboard motor (sorry, the brand name …I can’t remember).

But still the trusty outboard motor did its job…okay sometimes it wouldn’t start on the first, second or even the third pull because the motor got flooded and my dad would get really upset and use words I won’t repeat….. But, I learned some new words from those trying moments…Thanks dad!!

Or another time out fishing and my dad wanted to “start her up” as he would say and pulled the cord and it snapped….. Now that was something 2 miles from our dock and we had to paddle the whole way back…. I thought it was great fun, but not my dad as you can imagine!!!

Once back on shore I had to tell my mom all about the fun we had and my dad was about to explode because of the “GD-outboard motor”, and to make matters worse I asked my dad what “GD” meant….definitely a bad move on my part!!!

When I think back about all those great times I had I feel sorry for the Kids today because they aren’t allowed to do things alone anymore…. Like me and my friends out catching minnows with a net and rowing around the lake for hours…. No one worried about us and we were free to enjoy ourselves , but we never did anything stupid either and were responsible , or we walked around the lake on a path along the edge of the lake…… no problems, no injuries….just plain fun!!!

It was better that any computer game and taught us self-confidence , social skills and how to remember how to get from A to B and back without GPS or calling someone for help.

Those were the days, and if you have an outboard motor and boat…. Enjoy it and cherish the memories that it brings you!

Sunny days are on the way…
