Just let me think about it….

I am sure many of you know that saying all to well and sometimes there is even the ” I’ll get back to you” added on but do they ever get back to you……Sometimes yes and sometimes no, or better to say more often “no”…..

I got to thinking and that could be dangerous….. OMG , and you are thinking …. I hope her brain doesn’t have a short circuit or else we could be in trouble…..

The trouble with thinking is , is that we have to think about something sometimes or else you have nothing to think about…. I like to think about things… though not too long or they my be forgotten and then I have to ask myself…”What was I thinking about?” ….. Sounds like a dangerous question if you ask me. No, you didn’t ask me and even if you did… I would need to think about an answer.

Though with my brain cells at work here thinking ( how fast they are working ,I can’t say, but they seem to be doing an ok job) about what to write or not to write, those little babies are really at work thinking about what should I write next???? Now that’s something to think about or not???? Just question after question here and thought after thought and I am thinking……So let me think about it……

But could it be if you are thinking about it too long you may not achieve what you wanted too or maybe even give a Wong answer… Now, that’s something to think about? Right….

Or even maybe not thinking about it and answering spontaneously and there you have the same problem again…. What is with all this thinking and how much do I need to think???

Really now I love to think and I am sure there are a couple of you out there who love to think too, but just won’t tell me…. Your secrets are safe with me and I won’t tell a soul….okay, but when I think about it I may just mention it to a couple of my friends ” that you like to think”, so you can think about it, whether you want to tell me that you like to think…

Thinking can be sooooo much fun or it can be a real bore too, or it is simply one of life’s great hacks!!

So, think about it and get back to me!

What to write or what to say???

This seems to be the question of the day, because I was informed by a friend that I haven’t posted anything here for awhile… Ok, sorry. But I have been busy with work and other stuff and as everyone knows there only are so many hours in a day and to fit everything in that I want to do… well, it just doesn’t seem to work.

Then there was the New Year’s resolution issue too. I have never in my life made one because I know myself too good and I would/ could make one and probably the next day forget all about it, so to be on the safe side…

I just don’t make any! Now that really makes my life simple no worries, no reminders that I forgot to stick to the resolution and so forth!! Though while writing here I could think of a couple of things I could maybe put on a list.

1. Hoe out the attic… a nightmare under the roof just waiting for my moment of motivation… what year that will be; I really can’t tell you and don’t hold your breath waiting for me to do the job either. But it is on my to do list!!

2. Sort out books… I started but stopped after I found a book that I had never read before but have owned it for at least 20 years… High time to read it, before I forget it! So, with a nice cup of tea and relax on the sofa with the book….. Who needs to sort out the books now? Not me!!

3. The closet… Vintage styles are in, so why sort out my clothing when I am at the height of fashion now!! My golly it is so good to know that if you save something long enough it comes back in style and because it was tucked away all those years in the closet; no one will recognize it and only ask me if it is a new vintage outfit… And I can say “Oh, it is just something that I have had hanging around in my closet”… So, I guess forget that idea too about sorting out the closet.

Though I will admit I downloaded a plan that is supposed to help me organize things a bit better around here. I have even printed it out and hung it in the kitchen next to all the other things that are on the important things to do board. At least I have gotten as far as hanging it up and taking a look at it every day and contemplating to myself “when I have time I will do something on this piece of paper”.

I know that the motivation is just a step away and only a matter of time when I will tackle one of those jobs that are on the paper. I like the one about sorting out a drawer… Really easy and quick…. So I thought, I guess you have to start with a small drawer with not much in it and not one crammed with photos like I did, because I ended up sitting down and reminiscing about things while looking at them.

Well, at least now I can say that I have written about something and I will admit that I feel better too just thinking about all the things I should be doing, but instead I am sitting here writing something.

Enjoy whatever it is that you are doing and remember even if you goof-off whatever you have started at home will be there when you get back home waiting for you to finish it.

Computers without Compassion

Somehow computers have no compassion for their owners and think they can do whatever they want to. Devices can be so devilish can’t they?

Ever notice when you are typing away at something and accidently how.. Don’t ask me but touch the wrong key and all that great text that you had been writing seems to have disappeared for no reason at all. And I know in my mind and I am 100 percent sure that I did not touch any key that had to do with delete!!

I think computers sometimes want to make my life very difficult and then there is the language business… Which English do I choose??? My golly I am writing in English and English is English isn’t it… No not according to my computer… It gives me a choice of a couple to choose from. All I want to do is write a couple of simple sentences and not some literary work of art.

But, no my computer has to make some suggestions as to how the word/s should be spelt. Doesn’t my computer have a heart for me??? I say, NO it is just waiting for the moment when I turn my back and it will do some odd thing and my text will disappear or the font will change on its own and I am left at the mercy of this electronic device.

I always try to be nice to my computer and treat it with care and understanding, but I wonder sometimes does it have bad days too???

I think when my computer is having a bad day it seems to make a lot of suggestions as to how my sentences should be constructed, and believe me I do not like the suggestions either. I know what I want to say and I don’t what to write like a machine. I am a human and what to be creative and if my style of writing isn’t according to the computers thoughts… Too bad, sorry computer, but I can be a bit heartless to at moments! I press the button and say “ Sorry pla I don#t like your suggestion. Mine is better!! And look at my last sentence the computer is trying to play tricks on me and make it look like I can’t write…. I wanted to say: Sorry, pal I don’t like your suggestion.

Though computers do have a couple of advantages when compared to…… remember back then the thing called a “typewriter” Now that was really something. You made a mistake and you could not always delete it, but instead you had to get a whole new sheet of paper and start over. And of course you always made a mistake on something that was important that you were typing… or another famous one was you finished typing took it out of the typewriter and started reading it and notice in the middle of the page some spelling mistakes, and then what.. Start over again… But you knew how to spell back then because there was no spell check and your brain held a vast range of words that could be called-up automatically when needed.

Oh the fond memories of the typewriter, and the all time famous one I as a onetime high school student remember was the typing class for girls, were we had to learn to type so many words a minute.. I will admit that was not a strong point for me because I was defiantly not cutout to be a typist. But there were some girls in the class who were faster than light with their 60 words a minute and if I was lucky I managed 30.. So that destroyed my chances of become a career typist. Though I will admit I don’t regret it either.

Yes, times have changed and here we are typing away with spell check, sentence correction and language recognition all in one.

Enjoy typing!
