Fashion for the Fashionable

I would love to be fashionable. All I read lately is about the latest fashion trends how I should dress what I should buy and which make-up I should use…. Boy is it stressful being a woman just trying to keep-up with all this stuff, and where do I start first??? Hair, clothing or make-up… I am confused and need help! Plus to top things off there is the desk stationary that I need too for my office to match my mood or what I am wearing. Could life be more complicated????

Ok, I know I don’t visit all those fashion shows; I see enough of them on TV or you can read about it somewhere, so I know I won’t be left behind in the fashion jungle… Those models out there make me feel like I look like a whale. There is no way on earth that I will ever be able to fit into one of those slinky little dresses or teeter along the street in those high heels. Who wears that stuff??? I have never in my whole life up to now ever seen anyone wearing any of those outfits whether at a party or to work. They must be somewhere out there hiding from me… But where???

Now that fall/ autumn is approaching at the speed of light, there’s the need for the new fall hair cut… But which one?? I just had a summer hair cut and that was in then and my hair doesn’t grow that fast for the next season’s hair cut.. I’ll fall into the bad hair cut group of people … Last season’s hair cut.. OUTCH !! Hairdressers please be patient with us our hair takes time to grow.

Then there’s the right color of clothes to choose from that HOPEFULLY will be in for at least a month. The color pink was mention… I love pink but is that the right color for me and will it be out again at the end of the month before I even get a chance to get used to my new look??? Buying the wrong colored clothes may end in a disaster, because I don’t know what color will be in in October… Going to the office with the wrong colored outfit on will defiantly not get me a seat on the board of directors, but instead a little note saying” this month is not a pink month!” The trials and trivia of trying to keep-up with the fashion of today. Ohje

Not just that’s a problem to make sure I am wearing the right hat on my head too that I hope won’t ruin my summer haircut… Now what color do I buy and it must match my new fall coat… do I want to stand-out in a crowd or do I want a subdued color that signifies fall ??? I need help!!!

So far I seem to be having difficulties in deciding what to wear and how I should look, but thanks to all the advice out there I know what make-up to buy. Now if it matches my skin tone that’s another story but at least I can say I bought what is in for the fall season, and another little problem arises here too. Everything is sold in tubes that contain enough make-up for a year… Now what?? I can’t wear the September colored blusher in October. Everyone will notice it right away…

And all the beauty tips they seem to change from month to month too. Which tip do I use or where to I turn to for the right beauty tip of the month?? This is all so confusing. HELP!!

My final little problem is what stationary – what seasonal color should I have on my desk and do I need a pen that has ink in it with fall colors and if I send out something on the wrong colored stationary am I doomed as not having a fashionable desk?

Please everyone be patient with me when it comes to fashion trends; I just can’t keep up with them fast enough, So if we meet on the street don’t be surprised if I am wearing a color from last month and my hair cut is from the summer and my make-up isn’t the latest color either… that’s how life really is!!!

Save Me A Cent

All I read lately is about how bad times are and that we are all trying to save and get ahead somehow. Yes, that is sad that the “good times” are over but shouldn’t we make the best of what we have???? That was how it was when I was a kid. But, modern time’s people living beyond their means or can or could cause problems or the influence of things that are out of your control….

I’m no financial wizard nor do I want to be but the advice from around the globe as to how to save a penny here and there seems somewhat overrated in my eyes and so I have interpreted the ways to save cash in my words:

Penny pinching: It may be cool in certain circles but for those less fortunate who have to pinch every penny it may not be so fun …. So that sort of advice you can take it as you see best for yourself.

Secondhand-stores: They have always been around; only before no one ever gave them a second thought until nowadays were the trend to be trendy is to shop there… I need to be in!!

Gardening & good living: We have always done gardening but nowadays it’s not for pleasure it’s a must for many. But you can say what you want home grown veggies taste really good and it does give your life that little extra and to see the results of your garden and to say…. I did that myself !!

Hotel Balconia: Many of you out there may not have heard of this great place and it should be on the top of your vacation list! Hotel Balconia has a very familiar flair you don’t need to drive hours to get there and it offers all the luxuries of home… Have you guessed where it is??? Right – staying at home

Cleaner air: Maybe a fact where you are living but isn’t that only because you can’t afford to drive your car and the factory around the corner that employed so many people shut down and moved somewhere else (you all know why). A positive fact is that if you own a bicycle you can get it out and ride around and enjoy the clean air and get exercise at the same time, and save going to the gym for a workout( now that’s a money savings tip!)

Books: First spend your hard earned money on an e-reader and then you can read to your heart’s content as long as you have paid your electricity bill to recharge the battery in your e-reader and have enough money left over to buy the e-books. Logical conclusion in my eyes as long as you don’t need to buy glasses…..

Divorce: No one in their right mind will get a divorce nowadays it’s too expensive. So they stick it out with their partner, and as the “old saying” goes, and now it holds true ….. For better or worse- Honey we are staying together no matter what!!!

Families: These days when people are penny pinching , gardening , not divorcing and Hotel Balconiaing it, then naturally they are together and will eat their meals together.. What else is there to do except be together and be a family… Wasn’t it like that too in earlier times before the computer????

This whole business with saving, reading, gardening and so forth has worn me out already.. So those of you out there reading this… Take a deep breath and clear your mind and approach your life as you see best!!

P.S. Just a little thank you to all of you people out there who are reading & following my blog.
