Friends, Fans and Followers….

Those three words have many meanings in today’s world and it all depends on how you see it… Friends can be online that I have never met before in my life or they can be people that I actually know… Okay, my online friends are more than my real-life friends, but who’s counting (not me!) I still like my real-life friends, so no worries here friends!!

Though the question could be asked if the people we know in real-life are really friends or are they acquaintances, because I don’t think these two words are really differentiated from each other nowadays; everyone is simply a friend…….

Fans on the other hand are those who find someone or something cool and always want to know what is going on with their fan…. But then again aren’t my online friends in my fan club???? This is all soooo confusing but who cares is my moto!!!

Followers are the same as fans as I see it even though you can see that they may have clicked on the follow button of some social website or so… I am still having a bit of trouble here now that I have written friends, fans and followers ….. they simply are all the same; whether I know you or not….

So, all friends, fans and followers… Have a great last couple of days in 2017 and lots of luck, health and happiness for 2018!!

Leftovers again……

There you have it… the big day is over and there is all this food leftover and what to do with it…. OMG… but like every year there are the leftover meals from what is left-over from the 25th and like always the recipe ideas are in abundance online as to what to do with your leftovers.

When I think back on my childhood, my mom didn’t have internet, but somehow knew what to make out of the left-overs from our Christmas dinner, maybe the meals weren’t as exciting as what is around for ideas today, but I must admit what my mom made from the left-overs tasted really good and we never complained either… Thanks “mom” for all the great tasting Christmas meal leftovers!

But the all time favorite back then was left-over turkey on bread with gravy and what ever else was left-over from the meal…. Maybe some of you remember that or still eat it… That was just as good as the meal on Christmas day, if you ask me…. But you didn’t! And the great thing about it was that it was easy to make too…. Not too much work for my mom, who had worked so hard on the previous day in the kitchen preparing everything.

This is a tradition too, but most people don’t see it that way because everyone is too preoccupied with the 25th of December and aren’t thinking about the tradition of eating leftovers… A tradition in itself…. And I think there should be a “ National Left-Over’s day the 26th of December”!

So, for those of you out there going to eat left-over’s today…. All I can say is “ enjoy yourself” on National Left-Over’s day!!
