Christmas is over….

Well Christmas is over and now we are counting the days until the New Year 2017…. My how time fly’s!

Though Christmas is not that far in the past and so many people seem not to gotten the present they hoped for and want to return it to where it was purchased and exchange it for something else that they like… this seems like a normal thing with lots of people, but I must be lucky because I am always happy with what I receive and never want to return anything that I get.

And now there are the over abundance of tips as to what to do with the leftovers from Christmas dinner and how to store all the food properly, as if it is something new all these food hacks (ideas/tips) nothing has changed, just the design of the plates the food is served on and as for storing the food, common sense I hope still exists and we know what to do.

Though like every year now there are the tips on how to lose those extra Christmas pounds in time for New Years Eve, so you can wear that new little outfit…. I think I’ll skip that and wait and enjoy myself instead of worrying… I feel better already!
Nothing worse than not being able to enjoy yourself…. Everyone around you is eating and drinking something, and there you are saying” Sorry, no thanks. I am on a diet until 31 December”… Just image the comment or the facial expression of the person you say that too…. They will/would probably think you’re nuts!!

Sorry got a bit sidetracked here. I think I’ll just put my feet-up and take it easy and enjoy myself and forget about all the food hacks, diets, etc….

Enjoy yourself too….Christmas is over only once a Year!

What’s new in the office or not????

Just the other day I was talking to a friend of mine who attended a seminar about organizing your priorities in the office better and managing yourself…… “WOW”… I thought and thought I probably had missed something really new and innovative, because that is the utmost importance to be innovative and full of new ideas and systems to create the modern working office… or so is said.

Well, as you can imagine, my friend started to tell me all about these exciting new ideas, and I was mesmerized by the ideas, especially the one on using those sticky bright reminder stickers.. you know those sticker things that come in various colors, sizes and shapes that you can stick just about everywhere….

Those sticky little things are supposed to be the newest craze for organizing my projects and other things in my day or week….. Just hearing that I almost fell off my chair, because I have been using those sticky things for years, but apparently this is new and I didn’t know it!!!

Though the conversation about those sticky little things did get me curious about how are they used nowadays…. Answer…. The same as years ago… I was somewhat disappointed to hear that. Though I asked my friend did they discuss and analyses what do you do when the sticky back bit isn’t sticky anymore…. As you can image they left that bit out and seems to me if I was there at the seminar; I would have been highly disappointed not to learn what to do if those things lose their stickiness.

Just image there you are in your office organizing the next few days on a project and want to move around those sticky things and then all of a sudden a couple of them have fallen on the floor because the adhesive on the back is worn-out… is my project ruined or can I take a few new one’s of those things??? I mean really there at my feet are the most import colors of my project and the only ones left sticking are the other ones that aren’t really significant…. OMG!!!

Plus, will anyone on my team notice that I replaced the old sticky ones with new one’s…. This could put the project on hold until we have a meeting to decide: what is the next step to take with those sticky things, and as you all know…Time is money at work!

And to be honest… I really need to look into this because I have a project on the go and there are those sticky things stuck on the paper so that you notice certain things… Firstly, tomorrow morning I will have a meeting and discuss this all important issue and maybe we will need a few more of those sticky things to point out the important fact that those sticky things are still important and still modern….

Enjoy your days at the office and remember those sticky little things are in again!
