Wonderful Weekdays

Week days come and go but isn’t each day a special day in the week and not just a name? Well, I think so. Even if you didn’t ask me.

Days come and go the same as weeks and years. A week has just about ended and we are almost at the end of the second month in 2015…. But what about those days of the week that come and go and we only remember that it was one of those days…. Or was it a special day??? It could have been but no one noticed it. There seems to be a day for everything thing nowadays and I just can’t seem to keep up with them all… I have a good memory (My brain is still working….. Thank goodness!! I was getting a bit worried) But do I really need to know all those days???

Years ago there weren’t so many just the usual ones and that was it. Normally for some famous person or such. Now there is the coffee day, dog day, and so forth… My list could be from my house and probably span around the globe if I looked up what each day stood for…. To be honest I won’t; I’ll leave that job for someone else to do. Thank you, and when you are finished please let me know the exact number.

I have taken this issue to another dimension because the thought started the other day while I was at the office and contemplating …. I love to do that (but don’t tell anyone!!). There are seven days in the week, maybe there should be more, but I am happy with seven. If you want more days please do not complain to me about it because it isn’t my department….. Go to the – I need more days department where whoever is in charge may be able to help you. Though I do have my doubts about that!!!

Days could be like this:

Serious Saturdays – I mean really I am always serious on this day, no monkeying around just serious housework (that I dislike doing…. And maybe some of you out there too feel the same way I do???)This is a job that has to be tackled with the seriousness of being well organized and scheduled. Which means do not bother me until my multi-organized household chore schedule has been completed…. How quick I am depends on who phones first and where should we meet-up for a cup of coffee…. Plus, what do I want to clean today??? Always a somewhat moving question that boggles my brain each time I ask myself that question…. Though sometimes, I do have to be careful that I don’t argue with myself about what I should do first. The problems of serious Saturdays.

Sentimental Sundays – Sundays seem to be a great day to be sentimental; you can sit back and take it easy and reminisce about all sorts of things and dream about the good’ol days or something else that occupies your mind and just let your thoughts wander to all those pleasant times that took place in your life. A must in my book… we need some pleasantries in our life and not always worries, so maybe being sentimental could help. There are so many pleasant things that have happened in my life and they are great to think about and always bring a smile to my face…

Mellow Mondays – Oh, the beginning of the week again and I have to go to the office… Mondays are a day where thoughts should be collected, strategies may be planned and so forth… being concentrated and mellow makes it so much easier to deal with all that stuff instead of panicking because it is Monday. Mondays have been around for years and will be, so why not take the day in stride instead of dreading it????

Tension on Tuesdays – The week is here and now I really need to start working… getting those emails answered, writing that report… the deadline is approaching and I still have to attend a meeting… that does put a bit of tension in the day, but hey it is Tuesday and it is a day when tension is in the air.

Working Wednesdays – This is a day that one should be the most productive… At least that is what I read once. Though to be honest I am a bit skeptical about that theory. I work on all the other days too. I know there are the scales to assess how much you have achieved and how productive a person is…. Actually, I recently tried the email theory… only answer emails once every 3 or 4 hours….. Well, believe me if you want stress in your life do that!!!!! Those folks who sent me emails wanted answers and not wait half a day for a reply…. Sorry, but that theory does not work in my job!!

Tempting Thursdays – Now Thursdays are actually the day to prepare for the weekend, because everywhere you can read about what is going on where you live, etc…. That alone always makes me start thinking about what should I do on the weekend??? It can be so tempting…. Shopping (a gals favorite pastime), a movie, meet friends, or watch TV…. I have to decide today before it is too late and all the options to do something are not there anymore tomorrow…… Look out world … I am going to plan something for the weekend !!!!!

Frustrating Fridays – A day of deadlines and I hope that everyone else in the office has met the deadline too, or else S… will hit the fan and I do not want to be party to that event! I know some people enjoy that sort of thing but not me…. It seems like lots of people are frustrated on Fridays not only because of work… I believe it is a lack of planning that they could have done on Temping Thursdays that would have avoided the frustration on Fridays.

Whatever day it is make the best of it and enjoy it!
